Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele are healthy and of normal longevity but show increased numbers of splenic B, regulatory T, and dendritic cells, and eosinophilia at a young age. Aging homozygotes display a higher frequency of activated and effector/memory T cells and a decreased IgG1 level.
