Homozygous null mice show embryonic death, impaired neuronal migration and axon guidance, and vascular defects including a disorganized yolk sac vascular plexus, and malformed brachial arch arteries and great vessels. Mice lacking the cytoplasmic domain show altered retinal arteriovenous patterning.
