Homozygotes for one null allele show reduced spermatozoan ATP levels, mitochondrial membrane potential and sperm motility, and a slight deviation from the expected Mendelian frequency. Homozygotes for another null allele show increased hippocampus cell proliferation and cardiac P-wave duration.
