Mutations in this gene lead to postnatal lethality, abnormal gait, ataxia, reduced body size, loss of the corpus callosum, reduction of the hippocampus, olfactory bulb defects, and variable malformation of the cerebellum, including vermis agenesis, due to reduced proliferation of neural precursors.
