Some mice homozygous for a null allele exhibit situs invertus or situs ambiguus. Males show subfertility, impaired sperm migration in female genital tract, nonprogressive sperm motility with an asymmetric flagellar waveform, a low fertility rate, and loss of Ca2+-responsiveness after demembranation.
