Mice homozygous for a null allele show enhanced medium spiny neuron activity, hyperactivity, impaired motor coordination, and altered motor- and cue-based learning. Homozygotes for a different null allele show a motor skill deficit, enhanced spatial learning, stereotypies, and lower anxiety levels.
