Mice homozygous for a gene trapped allele exhibit variable obstructive hydrocephaly and enlarged lateral ventricles resulting from a blockage of cerebrospinal fluid flow in the cerebral aqueduct but show no gross defects in ventricular ependymal cilium structure or motility.
