Homozygous null mice display embryonic lethality during organogenesis, failure of heart looping, impaired angiogenesis and arterial specification, premature neuronal precursor differentiation, posterior truncation, and abnormal somitogenesis with loss of posterior markers. Compound heterozygous global and conditional cardiac KO results in embryonic heart anomalies.
