Homozygotes for a null allele show no major changes in anxiety, depression-like behavior, olfactory function or tumor incidence. Homozygotes for a different null allele show reduced cardiac progenitor cell (CPC) differentiation, increased CPC proliferation, and susceptibility to myocardial injury.
