Homozygotes for this spontaneous mutation exhibit coat and vibrissae abnormalities. Hair appears fuzzy and curly, loss occurs with age, and zigzag hairs have bends and kinks. Vibrissae are curly but straighten with age and in some mice are absent or lost.
