Homozygotes for this ENU-induced mutation exhibit kidney disease with impaired urinary excretion of metabolism products, polyuria, and kidney alterations. Plasma levels of urea, creatinine, and cholesterol are increased while glucose levels are decreased. Mice show increased food and water intake.
