Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Pbsn-ERG*)1Vv expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsA transgenic construct containing a rat probasin promoter (Pbsn), beta globin intron, a truncated N-terminal human avian erythroblastosis virus E-26 (v-ets) oncogene related (ERG) cDNA and poly(A) sequences was injected into C57BL/6 X CBA fertilized embryos. Two mouse lines were generated. Founder line 1 had significantly higher levels of the mutant ERG transcript. Truncated ERG protein were higher in Western blots of the ventral prostate with significantly lower levels in dorsolateral and anterior lobes. (J:131932)
