Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(SFTPC-EGFR*L858R)4-3Kkiu expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe full-length human cDNA with a T to G mutation at nucleotide 2573 resulting in the substitution of arginine for leucine at codon 858 and also tagged at the COOH-terminal end with FLAG is under the control of the human type II alveolar epithelial cell specific surfactant protein-C promoter. RT-PCR from hemizygous mice shows an approximate 1.5- to 3-fold greater expression of the transgene compared with endogenous Egfr. Western blot confirmed restricted expression to lung tissue.
