Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe BAC clone, RP23-297G4, containing the entire cyclin A2 locus (Ccna2), as well as ~80 kbp 3' (centromeric) flanking region and ~89 kbp 5' (telomeric) flanking region is modified by the insertion of a loxP::lacZ-3pA::loxP cassette followed by an EGFP cassette in-frame immediately before the Ccna2 stop codon. The centromeric region harbors the complete Exosc9 locus and at least three predicted genes, and the telomeric region includes the complete Bbs7 locus, one incomplete locus (3' portion of Trpc3) and at least one predicted gene. No other loci on the BAC were altered further. The transgene retains a chloramphenicol resistance cassette from the BAC sequences. (J:243632)
