This locus, with Agp3, controls the formation of retroviral gp70-anti-gp70 immune complexes. Low levels of this complex are seen in NZB and NZW; but high levels in the F1s. NZB carries a dominant allele for complex formation at Agp1; NZW carries a dominant allele for enhanced complex level at Agp3.
