Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show altered arachidonic acid metabolism and develop a myeloproliferative disorder associated with splenomegaly, abnormal splenic architecture, leukocystosis, basophilia, abnormal lymph node morphology, dermatitis, and premature death likely due to anemia.
