Emv15 is associated with lethal yellow at the agouti locus. Three alleles were identified: the a allele in 129/Sv-Aw and C3H/He; the b allele in C57BL/6; the v allele, always associated with presence of provirus and non-agouti, except in YBR-a strain where recombination between Emv15 and a occurred.
