Knock-in mutations of this gene lead to lysosomal storage disease and may cause premature death, facial, tail and limb anomalies, growth retardation, male sterility, reduced lactation, osteosclerosis and behavioral defects. Additional phenotypes include partial neonatal death and deafness.
