This locus controls an antigen on T-cell subpopulations. The a allele determines absence of Ly11.2 antigen in A/J, BALB/c, C3H/DiSn, CE, NZB, CBA/J and SWR. The b allele determines antigen presence in C57 strains, AKR, C58, DBA/2, SJL, 129, PL and MA/My.
