This locus controls antigen present on a subset of mature B lymphocytes. Anti-Lyb7.1 blocks in vitro response to TNP-Ficoll and some TI-2 antigens. DBA/2 and C3H/He are susceptible to anti-Ly7.1 antibody block; C57BL/6 and AL/N are not susceptible. Heterozygotes are susceptible.
