Sgp1 and Sgp2 control serum level of gp70. Sgp2 enhances gp70 serum level after LPS injection. The a allele determines high enhancement rate in 129; the b allele low enhancement rate in C57BL/6. Heterozygotes are intermediate. Sgp2 and Gv2 have similar effects on gp70 and may be identical.
