Molecular description: This transgene contains the 520bp minimal notochord enhancer (Rr241) of the mouse Foxa2 gene fused to the upstream genomic sequence of the Sox9 gene followed by replacing the coding region of Sox9 with the Cre recombinase gene and an IRES-lacZ reporter inserted between the Cre Stop codon and the Sox9 polyadenylation sequence.
